zen meditation book

The book Zen Meditation: The Art of Simply Being was born out of the need to respond to a recurring request from many Zen practitioners: Is there a first book to start reading about Zen meditation? Aware that there was still no introductory book to this practice according to our tradition, we edited and published this title based on the meditation courses that Lluís Nansen was already teaching at the center.

About the book Zen Meditation:

Zen meditation is a practice that helps us connect with our inner being. Its method has been tested and refined over centuries and is considered the most direct path to realization, due to its great intensity and its simplicity stripped of adornments. To do zazen is to sit with the skin bag we were born with and see the face we had before we were born.

Drawing from his twenty-five years of Zen practice, Zen master Lluís Nansen Salas (Barcelona, 1965) explains how to begin seated meditation, zazen. From an empirical foundation and with clear, straightforward language, Nansen offers the reasons, the how, the what, and the why—through stories of ancient masters, scientific explanations, and examples from his own current experience as a teacher.

Anyone interested in meditation—whether beginner or experienced—will find in this book the motivation and energy needed to begin, continue, and deepen in the practice of the path of happiness.
