Lived Testimonies
In the Testimonies project, practitioners from Zen Kannon answer a questionnaire in front of the camera. The goal is to show the wide range of professions, personal characteristics, and motivations that can lead us to meditation. A diversity of people come together for a common action: the practice of zazen, seated meditation — the practice of letting go of one’s own illusions and attachments, day after day. This project is a collection of real testimonies that inspire and connect.
Sangha: The Community of Practice
In the dojo, very different people meet — people who might never have arranged to have coffee together, who might never have met otherwise. But when we are in the dojo, we all do the same: we focus on the body and the breath, and let thoughts pass by. This creates a genuine bond founded on our lived testimonies.
This is why a unique harmony arises here — one that is almost impossible to find anywhere else or in any other circumstance — because it does not come from personal affinities, which are always limited and impermanent, but from the silent intimacy among people who follow the same path, who walk the Way of Awakening. Our communion is strengthened through these testimonies.
