Summer Meditation – July

On Tuesday, July 1st, the July intensive summer meditation program begins. Those who feel motivated and available are welcome to join in for meditations, mindfulness practice, and guidance from Zen teacher Lluís Nansen.

What is the Intensive Summer Meditation Practice Course?

The intensive summer meditation course is a practice program held at the urban Zen Kannon center in Barcelona, and it can also be followed remotely via Zoom. The program includes around 18 meditation sessions per week, with meditations in the morning, afternoon, and evening. During the free time between sessions, participants are encouraged to continue with mindfulness practices applied to daily life. Guidance is provided to support this application.

Benefits of the Summer Meditation Practice Course

This course allows you to integrate a period of intensive meditation into city life. If you’d like to do a meditation retreat but work or family commitments make it difficult, this is the perfect solution. With just minor adjustments to your schedule, you can take part in a steady rhythm of group meditation. Practicing in a group, guided by a teacher, provides the strength needed to deepen your meditation. Additionally, integrating this practice into everyday life will have a positive impact on your karma and personal relationships.

Full or Partial Course – Suitable for All Levels

The summer meditation course can be done fully or partially. Depending on your experience and availability, you can choose to participate in all the sessions or just a few. If you’re just starting out or have limited time, the course can be tailored to your needs. Both beginners and experienced practitioners are welcome, and the teacher will help each participant adjust the course to their own conditions. Throughout the month, you can receive personalized support from the teacher.

Schedule for the Summer Meditation Practice Course

  • Morning meditation: Monday to Friday at 7:30 AM; Saturday and Sunday at 8:30 AM
  • Mindfulness in daily life: Instructions and guided audio
  • Afternoon meditation + dokusan: Monday to Thursday at 6:00 PM
  • Evening meditation: Daily at 7:30 PM
